I REFER to the recent article where Annette Aldersea as president of the Resident, Ratepayers and Friends of Berwick Village has said that clandestine measures were taken to expose the fact that shops in the Australand shopping complex on the south side of Berwick Village were not up for lease and that Australand were not informing traders of their intentions.
If Ms Aldersea and other traders had joined and supported the Berwick Chamber of Commerce they would have known that Australand had kept the chamber up to date and they themselves in turn would be better informed and would not have had to resort to trickery in getting to half the truth.
Berwick shopping centre is in trouble and struggling but it is because not all the traders have thrown their support behind the chamber.
