A bad day for Berwick

IN a lacklustre performance, Berwick seniors went down to Pakenham by 80 points on Saturday.
After a slow start the Wickers fought back strongly to be down by four points at halftime, regaining the character that saw them down Narre Warren the previous week.
In a game that was vital for the club’s season, the Wickers fell apart in the second half to be comprehensively beaten.
Good players for Berwick were Chris Kickett, Kirk Betts, Ronnie Burns, George Gorozidis, Tim Joustra and Andrew Tuck.
The club sent its best wishes to George Gorozidis who will have a full knee reconstruction this week.
He plans to play next year and will be sadly missed on the forward line for the rest of the season.
Scores: Pakenham 26.16.172 d Berwick 14.8.92.
