PAKENHAM Netball Club’s Agrade team had to work hard to overcome a physical Berwick team on Saturday, finally winning by six goals.
Michelle Webster played in the goalshooter position that created a focus for the team to put the ball under the ring.
Danny West at wing defence pressured the attack of Berwick not letting it feed their goalers. Kasey Bergin kept her head up and worked to intercept.
Scores: Pakenham 50 d Berwick 44.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz: B GRADE

Pakenham started the game strongly with excellent driving down the court and into the goal ring.
In the second and third quarters Pakenham’s intensity dropped, allowing Berwick to get back into the game.
In the last quarter Pakenham picked up its game to take control with steady play to come out winners

A very tough game from the start with all girls standing their ground.
With a team effort, Pakenham was able to take a narrow win.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz: 17 AND UNDER

Pakenham started off with scrappy play and was a little erratic, however settled in the second half and played its own game.
The team worked well with unknown combinations and great movement and accuracy. Centre court was kept steady through Meaghan Cook and control pressure form the defence.
Scores: Pakenham 34 d Berwick 23.
Awards: Brianna Osmond, Mel Tozer and Meaghan Cook.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz: 15 AND UNDER

Pakenham started well with a good lead at quarter time.
Berwick made changes in the second quarter and applied pressure and Pakenham’s game became unsure.
After regrouping, the second half was all Pakenham.
Teamwork and desire became important and Pakenham recorded a great win
Scores: Pakenham 39 d Berwick 18.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz: 13 AND UNDER

A great first quarter from Pakenham saw only a twogoal deficit at quarter time.
Berwick stopped in the second and Pakenham struggled to maintain its game plan.
Scores: Pakenham 12 lost to Berwick 42.
