Just not safe

IF THE Port of Hastings is built as planned, there will be an extra 30,000-35,000 trucks a day using the Monash Freeway (according to consultant Deloitte) as reported on the front of the Herald Sun on 27 August.
My husband needs to use the Monash Freeway to travel to and from work. Not only am I concerned about the incredible amount of extra time it will take him to get to and from work, but more worrying to me is whether he will arrive home alive. Anyone who’s driven among large trucks like those to be used by the port will know how stressful and dangerous it is.
Anyone who uses the Monash Freeway or has loved ones who do should vehemently reject the planned Port of Hastings development.
