Pat takes the points

AN excellent 37 Stableford points was enough to give Pat McDonald the Agrade win at Drouin Golf Club on Saturday.
With a CCR of 72, the same number of players teed off in the event.
Agrade runnerup was Marty Dalziel with 36 on a countback from Paul Duivenvoorden.
Bgrade was won by Malcolm Hartland (handicap 19) with 37 points on a countback from Neil Williams and Tom Flowers also on 37 points.
Cgrade was taken out by Mick Herman (handicap 21) with 38 points from Rick Fenby and Craig Cottier on 37 points.
Nearestthepin winners were Jim McCormack, 14th, Clint Hickford, 17th, Paul Duivenvoorden, 19th and Mark Wooton took the money with the propin on the 23rd.

WEDNESDAY RESULTS

The Stableford event attracted 83 players with a CCR of 73.
Clint Hickford was the Agrade winner with a very good 38 points on a countback from Brad Bennett, closely followed by Cameron Snell with 37.
Bgrade was won by Peter Nielsen (19) with a sensational 39 points. Runnerup was Bob Ramage with 35 points.
Cgrade was taken out by Hank Otterspoon (28) on a countback from Mick Hanley, followed by David Elder and Peter Andreasen with 36 points.
Nearest the pins were Bob Woodward second, Ian Archer fifth and the propin went to Mike Roberts on the 14th.

THURSDAY RESULTS

The ninehole event saw the Roberts family dominate, with Ann winning the ladies with 19 points and Mike taking out the men’s with 18.

MONDAY RESULTS

The ninehole event was won by Peter DeVries with 21 points from Ian Hemphill on 17.

MONTHLY MEDAL PRESENTATION

This will be held on Saturday with finger food and cheaper drinks from 4.30pm.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This will be held on Thursday, 7 September.

WIN FREE MEMBERSHIP

The club is conducting a raffle for a free 20062007 membership. Tickets at $5 are available at the bar.

LADIES

Last Tuesday, 25 July the competition was Stableford with a CCR of 34.
Darryl Bryce from Tyrell’s Financial Services, Warragul, was thanked for sponsoring the event and presenting the winners and runnersup with their trophies.
It was also the club’s AntiCancer Day and about $210 was raised.
The Agrade winner was Di Sullivan with 32 points on a threeway countback. Runnerup was Margaret Purcell, leaving Shirley Todd with a downtheline ball.
Bgrade winner with the best score of the day was Mary Clark with 36 points. The runnerup on another countback was Betsy White with 29 points.
Making a habit of being nearest the pin was Margaret Purcell who scored on the 14th.
No one claimed the prize on the 19th and the propin was won by Mary Tymensen.
Downtheline balls went to Shirley Todd, 32 points, Dagma Forbes, Val Johnson and Bev Goodwin all on 29 points.

THURSDAY RESULTS

The ninehole seniors’ competition was again well attended with the popular monthly barbecue enjoyed afterwards.
Winner was Ann Roberts with 19 points, runnersup were Mildred Lyon with 17 and Robyn O’Brien with 16 points.

COMING EVENTS

This week is threeperson aggregate Stableford. For those who haven’t organised a partner, this can be arranged on arrival.
Next week (8 August) will be Stroke, the monthly medal and silver spoon playoff.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This will be held on 15 August.
Nomination forms for committee are on the board in the ladies room and nominations will close at 9.30am Saturday, 5 August.
