Tooradin bounces back

TOORADINDALMORE Netball Club’s Agrade team bounced back after a shock loss to Berwick last week with a dominating performance against Narre Warren, winning by 22 goals.
From the outset Rachel Splatt was taking no prisoners as the last line of defence, assisted by some dashes of brilliance by Tenneale Wells, back to full strength from injury.
At the other end of the court, Kate Lynch turned on a show, dictating the terms in the goal ring, aptly supported by Keren Van Der Heyden.
Through the midcourt, Sara Drain and Shona Wells provided much stability and also contributed with some classy intercepts of their own.
In the second half Stacey McConnell came off the bench and dominated, while Holly Booth, in her first senior game, was able to hold her own in the goal ring to help the side finish 22 points better than its opponent.

Tooradin came out with a positive attitude after suffering some major losses.
Despite Narre Warren running away with the first few centre passes, Tooradin soon found its feet and began to dominate the court in every aspect of the game.
Julia Rowan was a standout, being thrown in the deep end of defence, while Holly Gillespie fought hard for intercepts galore and cut off many a Narre centre pass.
Erin McMillan and Vicki Craven stood up under pressure and worked the ring to perfection, finishing off with some excellent goaling.
Stacey Edwards played a solid feeding game in centre and used her vision to full strength.

Tooradin enjoyed a 14goal win over Narre Warren following a onegoal loss after the siren to Berwick the previous week.
Goalers Fran Pecora and Alison Noonan produced some very accurate shooting for the match and were well assisted in and around the ring by Jess Connell and Cris Rooke.
Defenders Lou Shackles and Carla Hyde worked hard and were rewarded with lots of rebounds and turnovers.
