MP Bowden retires

LONGSERVING MP Ron Bowden will retire at the next state election.
The Member for South Eastern Province, which takes in the local area, said last week he would complete his service in the Legislative Council at the end of the present State Parliament, in November 2006.
Mr Bowden, who has been an MP since 1992, said representing his constituents had been a “constant source of inspiration and satisfaction”.
“After lengthy consideration, I have accepted an invitation from the international business community and will commence senior corporate responsibilities after the next state election,” he said.
