CORA LYNN had an important win over NeerimNeerim South in A grade to get ready for the finals.

Cora Lynn started slowly but fought back to be even at quartertime. Cora Lynn lost momentum in the second quarter but had a good third quarter to be eight goals up at threequarter time. NeerimNeerim South fought back in the last quarter but Cora Lynn was able to hold the lead and win.

Cora Lynn finished the first quarter four goals up and the team’s determination was obvious. During the second quarter the team continued to work together but the second half was completely different. Ballhandling skills let Cora Lynn down and the lack of forward movement caused a major turnaround. Cora Lynn tried to catch up in the last quarter but time ran out. The focus now is finals.

Cora Lynn played a great team game against NeerimNeerim South. Good pressure, passes and leads kept the game close for four quarters. The goalers shot brilliantly and the team put on fabulous fullcourt pressure despite the loss.

Cora Lynn started well with strong passes and tight defence. Positional changes were made at halftime and everyone adapted well. Abbie Kelly played goal shooter for the first time and put in a top effort. Cora Lynn put in four strong quarters but was beaten by a better team.

In the last game Cora Lynn put in a fine effort, nearly pulling off a win.

Cora Lynn came out strongly against NeerimNeerim South on Saturday. Amelia Rovers and Kasey Gardiner worked well together, creating a strong defence. Tahlia Carris was brilliant in the centre, putting pressure on down the court. A top effort by every player in the last quarter brought the Cobras within two goals.
