Kooweerup fails in chase

KOOWEERUP Netball Club’s Fgrade team failed to catch Warragul Industrials after a poor first half and went down by 15 goals in the elimination final at the weekend.
Early errors gave Warragul Industrials a break before Kooweerup came back with Cassie Belsham, Ales Bell and Sarah Camarano all combining well.
The Dusties led 11 to 5 at quarter time.
The second quarter saw Kooweerup continue to make basic errors, but defenders including Jess Chapman, Lauren Harrison and Brooke Radings worked well under extreme pressure.
The Dusties held a 13goal lead at half time and increased that to 17 goals at the final change with Kooweerup losing confidence in the third quarter.
Kooweerup came out with a fresh outlook in the final term with all girls trying hard, but was unable to bridge the gap.
Scores: Kooweerup 18 lost to Warragul Industrials 33.
