MYOTHERAPY is the physical diagnosis, treatment and management of muscle, nerve and joint pain.
Proactive Myotherapy at Emerald and Beaconsfield offers a range of services according to owner/manager Shannyn Trevorah.
“Our treatment techniques include dry needling, cupping, soft tissue and skeletal mobilisation, trigger point therapy, heat therapy, biomechanical correction and prescription of corrective exercises,” Shannyn said.
“I’m passionate in working out the cause of the problem.”
Shannyn, who worked with Richmond Football Club for three years, is qualified in the highest level myotherapy offers – a four year bachelor of health science degree in myotherapy.
She also returned to the Southern School of Natural Therapies and studied to lecture for two years.
She said the focus of the business was to help all ages, those suffering sport, work or over-use injuries, headaches, muscle stiffness, tingling/weakness, pre and post pregnancy, post-operative recovery, diabetes, RSI, carpal tunnel and sciatic pain.
The business has been in Emerald since 2009 and Pakenham since 2011, moving from Pakenham to Beaconsfield in 2015.
Proactive Myotherapy is at Shop 9, 5-7 Kilvington Drive, Emerald, and Suite 2, 68-70 Old Princess Highway, Beaconsfield.
Shannyn is available at Beaconsfield on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 7pm at Beaconsfield and at Emerald on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 7pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
Phone 0422 650 414.
