Celebrating significant seniors

OLDER residents will be rewarded for their community contribution.
La Trobe MP Jason Wood has invited resident to nominate seniors who have made a substantial contribution to the community to be recognised as part of the celebration of National Day for Older Australians.
Mr Wood said he would like to acknowledge their contribution by awarding certificates to residents.
“If you know someone who you think is worthy of such a nomination, please contact my office and I will arrange for a certificate to be presented to them or posted,” Mr Wood said.
“I encourage all residents in La Trobe to really think hard about someone who has made a difference in the local community,” Mr Wood said.
National Day for Older Australians was on Sunday 1 October, which coincided with the observance of the United Nations’ International Day for Older Persons.
Nominations can be sent to Mr Wood at 83 Boronia Road, Boronia, 3155.
Include a short paragraph with details of who you are nominating and their contact details along with your own details.
