Raising money can be such a long, hard slog

CYCLISTS will slog in the saddle this Saturday for a worthy cause.
A 160kilometre ride down the Princes Highway to Sale will raise funds for the 4C’s (Cardinia Combined Churches Caring) Emergency Food Bank.
The Slog to Sale is one of the main fundraisers for the 4C’s which distributes food parcels and other support services to a growing client base in Pakenham and around the Cardinia Shire.
This year, ride organiser Michael Wilson hopes to raise a record $20,000.
“Momentum is steadily building, not long to go now,” he said.
Cyclists will leave Pakenham early on Saturday morning.
Among the event’s sponsors is Pakenham’s Bendigo Bank.
