ROTARY has continued its support of the Life Education van in primary schools with a contribution from the Rotary Club of Berwick 2006 charity business dinner.
Life Education project coordinator and Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills member Martin Pater told the dinner that the vans provided young children with an understanding of healthy living.
“They are taught what the body is all about and the impact of drugs, alcohol, smoking and good food,” he said.
Models in the van show what happens to the body when it takes on the wrong substances.
“Children are taught early,” Mr Pater said.
The Life Education vans provide young students with life skills to minimise and prevent the damage of drug abuse.
The vans work closely with schools.
