CASEY youth and community development manager Janette Green is impressed with the strength of the 2007 Casey National Youth Week celebrations committee.
Already 15 fifteen young people had joined the committee, she said, and there were lots of opportunities for people 12 to 25 to become involved.
Young volunteers were brainstorming the kinds of events they would like to see in Casey next April.
“A computer game tournament, educational opportunities, talent show and competition are amongst the possibilities that have been raised,” Ms Green said.
“These types of events take significant planning and working together, so I would encourage young people who are interested in making the 2007 National Youth Week in Casey the best ever, to contact the committee and share their ideas on making it happen.”
National Youth Week will be held from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 April 2007.
