Bob takes the points at Pakenham

IT was Bob Scullion’s day at Pakenham Golf Club on Saturday, shooting 42 points to win the Stableford event.
Mason Shadwell took out Agrade with 40 points and Mark Klaver Bgrade with 41 points.
Downtheline balls were won by Gary Bau 40, Grant Smith 40, Dale Wynne 40, Stuart Scott 39, Don Callen 39, Alex Wynne 39, Matt Wouters 38, Ron Seamer 38, Paul Hobson 38, Martin O’Hare 38, Rick McHugh 38, Jack Jackson 38, Mark Bell 38, Matt Rogers 37, Kevin Salau 37, Gary Brand 37, Dan Cameron 37, David Jack 37, Harri Capobus 37, Basil Bate 37, Frank Morris 37, B. Nutten (Rosebud), Robin McCrae, Barry Williams, Bret Mottrom, Tony Sheahan, Rob Sandiford and Bob Yates all on 36.
Alex Wynne and Vili Koroknai both had birdies on the fifth.
Nearest the pin on the golf shop second hole went to Damien Rhyne.
The Pakenham Subway fifth hole went to Vili Koroknai and Ian Neason won the Dante’s Woodfired Pizza.
Cass Bannister took out the Hungry Jack’s 14th hole and Wayne Caffyn the Pakenham Pizza 16th.
The B.M.R. Autos second shot on the sixth went to Grant Smith.
The B.M.R. Autos Agrade longest drive went to Jason McQualter and the Bgrade to Scott Phillips.
The McIntyre Painting Cgrade longest drive saw David Shannon the winner.
Raffle winners were Michael Byrnes and Ian Neason.

This week is the first round of the fourballbestball championships and Sunday is the annual challenge at Heyfield between Pakenham, Berwick Montuna and Heyfield.
The following Saturday is the second round of the fourballbestball championships.

The bar will be open Friday afternoons on a trial basis.
This Friday evening Ben Whitely will provide entertainment from 9 pm in the clubhouse. Entry is free.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:MONDAY RESULTS

Results of the Par competition saw Al Campbell the winner with +4 from John Roberts with +3.
Down the lines were won by Les Jones +1 followed by Malcolm Clay, Bob Morrison and Nik Hock on a countback, coming in square.
Nearestthepin winner was Ron Miller on both the second and eighth holes.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:WEDNESDAY RESULTS

The morning competition saw eight golfers braving the conditions of cold wind, driving rain and sometimes hail.
The winner was Rex Jobling with 35 Stableford points from Heath Barclay with 34.
Nearest the pin went to Heath Barclay on the eighth.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:TWILIGHT RESULTS

The competition has started and hitoff times are from 3pm on Wednesdays and meals are available after the nine holes.
Members are encouraged to bring their family and friends along for the golf or if they do not play just enjoy the meal.
This competition is open to all – members and nonmembers, handicap and nonhandicap players.
Nine players competed and Bob Dowse was the winner with 19 points from Ron Horne 18 on a countback.
Nearest the pin on the second hole was won by Bob Dowse and the second shot on the seventh went to Ron Horne.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:SUNDAY RESULTS

Nineteen players took part in the Sunday Stableford competition.
Stephen Mann was the winner with 41 points from Matt Yusoff with 40 points.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:LADIES

On Thursday, 16th November 30 members played Multiplier Stableford.
The day winners were Libby De Hey and Liz Garvey with 72 points and Marjorie Dean and Leonie Sander were runnersup with 70 points.
Nearest the pin on the second hole went to Helen Aurish, the eighth to Libby De Hey and the 14th to Ann Donovan.
Downtheline winners were Jenny BayardHelen Aurish 65, Leanne AndrewsLeanne Barker 60 and Irene WalkerToni Owen 59 on a countback.
The club thanked Marg Blake for her sponsorship of all the trophies on the fourballbestball ladies day of the tournament.
Next week is beginners’ day.
