DENISE Drysdale will be the Australia Day ambassador at Cardinia Shire’s main celebration in Pakenham.
The popular performer, who owns property in the area, will be guest of honour at the event at the cultural centre on 26 January.
Mayor Kate Lempriere said a range of activities had been planned for the popular annual celebration.
Features will include the presentation of the shire’s Citizen of the Year honours and a citizenship ceremony.
“Lots and lots of things are happening,” Cr Lempriere said.
