Chill out and enjoy the island ambience

LOCAL music lovers can spend one cool day in summer over this Australia Day long weekend.
Chill Island is a laidback, familyfriendly and rootsheavy music festival to be held on Churchill Island, just off Phillip Island, on Saturday, 27 January.
The Chill Island Festival will see some of Australia’s hottest folk, jazz and rock artists come together in a picturesque location for an unforgettable day of entertainment.
The Cat Empire, fresh from recording its fourth album, will headline the daylong event.
The Melbourne band will be keen to impress in its last Australian show before leaving for the United States for another overseas tour.
The Cat Empire will be joined by leading Australian acts the Beautiful Girls, Ash Grunwald, Blue King Brown, Custom Kings and Jess McAvoy for an unforgettable day of entertainment.
Chill Island will be held at the Phillip Island Nature Park, Churchill Island, on Saturday, 27 January from noon to 10pm.
Tickets are $69.95 for adults and $39.95 concession, plus a booking fee, and kids under 12 are admitted free.
