BOB Batten took the points at Pakenham Golf Club on the Australia Day weekend, winning the twoday Stableford event with at total of 74 points.
The club ran the event over the Friday and Saturday in addition to the normal Saturday competition.
Bob Batten came in with 36 points on Friday and 38 on Saturday.
Winner of the Saturday event was Ken Briggs with 43 points.
Scott Milnes was the Agrade winner with 41 points and Jesus Fitzpatrick came in with 42 points to win the Cgrade. The CCR was 71.

The Pakenham golf shop second hole nearest the pin was won by Max Craig with the Pakenham Subway fifth hole being won by Paul Hobson.
Jason McQualter took out the Dante’s Woodfired Pizza eighth hole and the Hungry Jack’s 14th hole went to Max Perry.
George Feakes was the winner of the Pakenham Pizza 16th hole. Jason McQualter also took out the B.M.R. Autos second shot on the sixth hole.
The B.M.R. Autos longest drive was won by Scott Milnes with the Bgrade going to Matt Wouters. Michael Burns was the winner of the McIntyre Painting Cgrade longest drive.

David Leach came in with 42 Stableford points to win from P. Hanara 40, Fred Uini 40, Michael Burns 40, Michael Conroy 39, David K Manning 39, Stephen A Mann 39, Rod Walker 38, Gary Bennett 38, Neil Mani 38, Dan Cameron 38, Sam Maota 38, Christopher Miche 38 and Brian Bateup 38. Nearest the pin on the second hole was won by Stephen Mann and Colin Crowle was the winner on the eighth hole.
Dan Cameron came in the winner on the 14th hole.
The ladies Friday competition was won by Jill White with 44 points.

This week is the start of the men’s championships, with the second and third rounds being played over the following two weeks. The Monthly Medal for February will be played in conjunction with the championship round on 17 February.
The Pakenham Plate will be played on 24 February so there will be a limited field of Saturday players all hitting off with an early shotgun start.

More than 120 took part in the competition last Wednesday in cooler conditions than the week prior. A. Montgomery was the social winner with 17 points and the raffle winner was Marjorie Dean.

There will be no play for the Saturday ladies during February due to the men’s championships and the Pakenham Plate.
Thursday ladies: The 2007 golfing year will start with the Summer Cup this Thursday, 1 February.
The Summer Cup is a ninehole event played each Thursday in February. Hitoff time is between 8am and 8.30am.
