AN era is ending for communityminded trio Lorna Giles, Lyn Stephenson and Rae Webster as the Pakenham Volunteer Care Group moves to be managed by Living and Learning in Cardinia.
The service has been in operation since 1985.
Lorna, Lyn and Rae were original members of the committee of management with many other volunteers over the years representing church and community groups.
“We thank all who have supported the service from the coordinators, secretaries and treasurers,” president Rae Webster said.
Ranald Webster, who over 16 years has been treasurer and volunteer driver and coordinator of transport to Vision Australia at Warragul, will continue to oversee this service every Monday.
Mrs Webster paid tribute also to the volunteer drivers who had been so loyal to the care group.
“Keep up the good work,” she said.
“Our good wishes go to LLINC and we wish them every success as they continue this good service to the community.”
