PAKENHAM Golf Club’s Scott Hooper shot a superb 66 nett to win the 2006 Medal of Medallist crown.
The event was played in conjunction with the first round of the club championships on Saturday last week.
The second round of the championships was played on Saturday and the windy conditions played a part with the leaderboard changing considerably.
The final round will be played this Saturday.
The leaders at present are Mick McManus from Andrew Villinger with Tym Davey in third place.
Bgrade sees Scott Hooper four shots in front of Paul Hobson and Neil Mani.
There is quite a battle in Cgrade with three players level in Brian Webster, Roger Hamill and Marcus Cameron.
Dgrade sees Mick Conroy six shots in front of Robert Bigg with another six shots to Alex Wynne.
The veterans leader is Stan Gilbert in front of David King and Cliff Pain and the junior leader is Tym Davey.
The Ampol Shield (handicap) leaders are Mick Conroy from Jeff Paterson and Tym Davey.

Rob Sandiford was the winner of the Dante’s Woodfired Pizza eighth hole with David Shannon coming in the winner on the Hungry Jack’s 14th hole.
Cass Bannister was the winner of the Pakenham Pizza 16th hole and the second shot on the B.M.R. Autos sixth hole went to Brent Greenwood.
Tym Davey won the B.M.R. Autos Agrade longest drive and the Bgrade went to Robert Young.
Richard Walker won the McIntyre Painting Cgrade longest drive.

Par was the competition on 5 February with Cliff Pain coming in the winner with +5 to win on a countback from Vilie Koroknai.

Seventyseven players took part in the Stableford competition with Bob White coming in with 49 points to win from Alan Halleur and Peter Egbers with 45.

Nearest the pin on the fifth went to Denby Coggan. Heath Barclay was the winner on the eighth hole and John Roberts took out the 14th.

This saw 118 play the front nine in perfect conditions. The social winner was R. Leonard.
The winner of the raffle was Neil and Sue.
There were some excellent scores recorded. Roger Hamill came in with 27 points for the nine holes to be the winner followed by Bob White with 25 and Peter Egbers with 25.

With beautiful conditions prevailing the ladies played the second round of the Summer Cup.
The winner of the day competition on the front nine was Judith McDonald with 30 nett and the winner of the back nine was Kay Jones with 32 1/2 nett.
Jan Creagh was the winner of the front nine putting with 12 putts and the back nine putting was won by Nola Kerslake with 14 putts on a countback.
Nearest the pin on the second hole was Marjorie Dean.
The front nine down the lines was won by Joan Rawson 33, Helen Aurish 33 1/2, Lulla Bishop 33 1/2 and Val Greene 35 1/2.
Lyn Murray 34, Liz Garvey 35, Dawn Van Roy 35 and Marg Turner 35 were the back nine downtheline winners.
The ball competition winner was Irene Walker with 35 nett.
An open forum will be held after golf next Thursday, as well as pennant practice with Shannon at 11am. Pennant practice will also be held at 11am on 22 February.
