Officer bats take charge

OFFICER’S Agrade team produced a strong batting performance to run down Merinda Park’s firstinnings score and register a good win on Saturday.
The Bullants resumed at 2/30 chasing Merinda Park’s 154 and moved to 2/73 with Clint Williams scoring 23.
Colin Tucker (71) with 11 fours and a six then combined for a 52 run stand with Ben Tivendale who again fell short of 50 with 43 including four fours and a six.
Colin Tucker made his third half century of the season and was out in the 37th over with the team set up for a good win.
Shaun Marchetti raced to 24 and Shane White made 60 with 10 boundaries to set up Officer’s score of 9/262. Kable Dowsett was 10 notout and Chris Savage made 11.
The Bullants play the first of two home games in a row against Kooweerup and will be hoping for another win leading into the finals.

The Bullants kept their finals chances alive with a 28run win over secondplaced Kooweerup.
Kooweerup started quickly being 0/87 in difficult bowling conditions.
James Quinn took the first two wickets and was on a hattrick, took 2/34 and did well with the new ball.
Liam Main took 2/70 from 22 overs, beating the bat regularly. Paul Simon took 5/33 off 10.2 overs.
Simon Armstrong took a good skied catch and Brent Pullen a sensational onehander at silly midon off the bowling of Darryl Timms, who took 1/29 off eight overs.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

Officer was beaten by Gembrook that declared at 8/237.
Tom Bulenok took 4/103, Wayne Danks 3/49 off 10 overs and Jayden Bell 1/43 off 6 overs, being the three wicket takers.
Officer then had to bat again and scored 101 with captain Peter Quigley top scoring with 27 notout.
Tom Bulenok completed a good allround day with 24 and Xavier Quigley made his highest senior score of 22.
Officer take on Cardinia at the main Cardinia ground this weekend.

Officer lost narrowly to Clyde by 13 runs and Nathan Carruthers and Tom Marks were thanked for helping out the team.

Officer played Tooradin and fielded all day with Tooradin scoring 5/268.
Luke Beaumont bowled a top spell to take 2/20 from eight overs. Michael Haughton also bowled tightly for 1/27 off eight overs and Matt Cooper also did well for 1/45.

Officer showed plenty of fight to make 102 after being 5/20 the previous week.
Tom Marks batted brilliantly for his maiden 50 and guided the team to a great win over Upper Beaconsfield.
Lucas Hunter with seven gave good support as Lewis Bond with six.
Upper Beaconsfield batted again making 1/10 with Jake Cameron taking1/2 off 1 over.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

Officer nearly pulled off a memorable upset against top team Beacy Minors.
After the Bullants’ 129 last week, Beacy Minors made 158 all out in reply on a fast ground.
Adam White bowled superbly for 2/5 from two overs, M. Sattler took 2/14 off four overs and J. Burle took 1/10 off four overs.

The club’s No Boundaries games will be against Drouin on 25 February with the sponsors lunch and double wicket games against Lang Lang also on the same date at the Officer ground.
The Shanikas lunch will be on Sunday, 4 March, $15 a head.
