THE Don Stephens Relay for Life team has already raised $14,000 for the cancer research charity event.
Team spokesman George Single said the Pakenhambased team held a successful dance and charity auction on Saturday night at the Toomuc Reserve Sports Pavilion.
More than 100 people attended the dance and $8700 was raised.
The team also was given a donation of $380 from Gloria Jean’s Pakenham, who donated $1 for every cup of coffee sold on 2 February.
“Our last fundraising event before the relay is a sausage sizzle outside Safeway Pakenham on the Saturday, 24 February,” Mr Single said.
The CaseyCardinia Relay for Life is being held on 2 March.
