Patience the key for Brookers

GEMBROOK’S Cgrade team spent all afternoon in the field against Nar Nar Goon at the Goon.
At tea Nar Nar Goon was 1/95 after several dropped catches.
After tea Gembrook stuck to the task in the heat and eventually bowled out the opposition for 223 in the 69th over.
The season is on the line and patient batting is needed this week to overhaul this competitive score.
Best bowlers were Aidan Weichard 3/28, Rick Atkinson 3/61 and Terry Kendall 2/43.

Gembrook captain Clint Osseweyer lost the toss against Lyndhurst Vikings and was sent into the field.
Good bowling and fielding put pressure on the batsmen and Lyndhurst was all out for 144 in the 59th over.
Tim Gray, Mark Costa, Darcy Johnstone and Jeremy Everitt each took two wickets in an even performance.
Gembrook had 11 overs to bat and at the end of the day were 1/11.
