Weather hits market

There was a decrease in numbers at Baw Baw Livestock Exchange last Wednesday to 141 head, mainly due to the weather.
The prices in the vealer increased to top at 385.2 cents for the vealers.
Because there was only a few bullocks yarded, the top was 280.2 cents and heifers sold to a dearer trend to top at 330 cents, and steers topped at 285 cents.
On Thursday, 23 bulls sold to stronger demand topping at 271.2 cents. Also penned were 242 cows which made to a top of 250 cents.
Overall the yard average was up four cents to 208.3 cents.
The draw for 13 and 14 September is: 1 SEJ, 2 Landmark, 3 Gibbon, 4 Elders, 5 Scotts.
