Brookers to toil for total

GEMBROOK’S Cgrade side faces a daunting 396 run chase against Kooweerup this week to make the finals after a leather chase on Saturday.
The Brookers lost the toss at home and after capturing an early wicket, Kooweerup was 2/178 off 31 overs at tea.
Terry Kendall toiled hard with the ball taking 5/103 off 21 overs and was well supported by Andrew Hilder with 3/74 off 15 overs.
Dean Allcott supported the bowlers with four excellent catches.

Facing Emerald at home, the Brookers lost the toss and were sent in to bat and were bowled out in 56 overs for 222.
Best performances were Anthony Escamp (37), Clint Osseweyer (35), Andrew Shipp (34) and Daniel Osseweyer (34 not out).
Emerald faced 10 overs and was 17 without loss.

Facing Cranbourne Meadows at home, Gembrook batted first and made 7/216 off 35 overs.
Good performers were Lee Thiele (53 retired) and Rob Sims (51 retired).
Gembrook then bowled Cranbourne Meadows out for 85 in 20 overs.
Lee Thiele with figures of 4/19 off six overs was well supported by Will Davis, Rob Sims and J. Green who all had bowling figures of 2/8.
A good win by the Brookers.
