Keen bowling at Pakenham

FOURTEEN Pakenham Bowls Club members played 15 ends on Friday, September 16 with some keen contests.
Winning the evening was the team of Beryl Isherwood, Tina Meeuwenoord and Keith Emms (skip) who won with 18 shots up.
The runnersup were the team of Frank Aurish, Mary Price, Anne Emms and Ken Tomlin (skip) who won by a margin of four shots.
On Friday, 23 September 16 members enjoyed a game of 15 ends.
The winners of the evening was the team of Jill Kidd, Alan Dickinson, Wilma Smart and Tienus Meeuwenoord (skip) who were successful in the game over the opposition by 17 shots.
The runnersup were the team of Chantel Jauffert, Helen Aurish, Tina Meeuwenoord and Stan Athans (skip) who won by a margin of six shots.
After last Saturday’s wash out against Drouin Bowls Club this week Phillip Island came to Pakenham to enjoy an early start because of the AFL grand final.
Before the final began members and visitors enjoyed a sausage sizzle, whilst the managers of the two teams considered the result.
The result was Pakenham 208, Phillip Island 148.
