CONSISTENT Warragul pacer Genghis Yankee broke through for a wellearned win at Kilmore last Friday night.
Driven by Jodi Quinlan, Genghis Yankee started favourite and has now won five of his 42 starts. Before Friday night, he had finished second at two of his three starts back from an eightmonth spell.
Genghis Yankee is trained by David Punch, who has relocated from Leeton to Warragul and stables his horse at the Gippsland Harness Training Centre.
Another local winner was Trackattack for Lee Evison at Cranbourne last Saturday night.
