Piranha swims with stars

CARDINIA Piranhas Swimming Club cocaptain for February, Rachael Bradley, attended the Vic ANZ Talent Pool program at the Presbyterian Ladies College Aquatic Centre in Burwood on Saturday.
She was one of 60 swimmers from across the state to gather and listen to Olympic Gold medallist Giaan Rooney speak about her career, while also experiencing some of the aquatic disciplines of the coming FINA World Championships.
The event was a great success with Rachael meeting the star swimmer and learning much on the day.
The Piranha’s other cocaptain for the month was Emily Pimlett, while Daisy Laughton won the junior coach’s award for February and the senior coach’s award went to Linda Van Rensch.
The encouragement award for the month was presented to Kaycee Gardiner.
Sponsor Dominoes Pizza donated all awards.
The club’s banner has been organised by new sponsor Treeline Design and will be in the entry of Cardinia Life Aquatic facility shortly.
The club thanked Treeline Design, Legible Signs and Cardinia Life for their support in this venture.
On 25 March the Cardinia Piranhas will hold its annual club championship event at the Cardinia Life facility with trophies awarded at the presentation dinner on 23 April.
