WARRAGUL Harness Racing Club is helping to celebrate the monthlong Palate of Passions festival.
At its race meeting at Logan Park on Thursday, March 22, the inaugural ‘Palate of Passions Pace’ will be run.
Members of the Gippsland Gourmet Country Tourism Association will be enjoying raceday hospitality and will present a trophy to connections of the race winner.
The Palate of Passions festival combines the best of Gippsland wines, food, accommodation, shopping, art and various other attractions, in a diverse range of activities.
The Warragul Harness Racing Club has recently become involved with the festival and Gippsland Gourmet Country in an effort to promote racing activities to locals and tourists alike.
Strong entries are expected for Thursday’s eightrace card, with numerous Gippsland horses expected to compete.
Thursday’s race meeting starts at 1.20pm and serves as a warmup to the big Warragul Cup meeting on Easter Sunday afternoon, April 8.
As well as the major race, a host of other attractions have been planned, including a visit by Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
