MORE than 170 people flocked to the Nightmare Before Christmas music extravaganza at the Pakenham Hall.
The event, held on Friday 12 December, saw five bands take to the stage to perform various original songs.
The line-up included three bands from the Cardinia Shire – Decembers Fallen of Emerald, Summer of Betrayal of Pakenham and Living Nightmare of Kooweerup – along with City Escape and Ashley’s Affair.
The event was hosted by the Cardinia Shire Council FReeZA Committee and Electric Productions. Youth services officer Carrolyn Agius said the Nightmare Before Christmas was a great opportunity for young friends to catch up at the end of the year and hear some great music.
“The committee have had a really successful year with good turn-outs at all of their events and ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ was another great event organised by young people for young people,” she said.
One lucky patron won an Ibanez guitar worth over $500 donated by The Music Store Pakenham.
