A rocking good time

By Bridget Cook
OUTLOOK Community Centre in Pakenham is organising a car boot sale and family fun day, with all proceeds going towards the Outlook Community Hub.
The hub is being redeveloped to give the community and people with a disability a place to go, to retreat and interact with others. It will be an outdoor area, with seating and a barbecue.
The day will take place on Saturday 31 January between 9am and 3pm.
The organised activities for the day include a hot rod display, sausage sizzle, amusements for children, Devonshire teas and 20 per cent off Outlook Plant nursery plants and products.
The centre has a men’s shed group, which consists of more than 30 men, who meet up every Wednesday.
They have been collecting old rocking horses from garage sales and op shops and have refurbished them.
These will be on display, with some of them available to purchase.
Make your way down to The Outlook Community Centre, located at 24 Toomuc Valley Road in Pakenham, on 31 January for a day of fun and turn someone’s trash into your treasure.
Swap meet sites will cost $10 and can be booked through Di Wilson on 59411535. There is a limited number of sites, so book in early.
For further information call the community centre on 5941 1535.
