Quest for the Best

THE Show Quest will again provide some lunchtime entertainment on the Beaconsfield Home Hardware stage on Sunday 1 March. The Quest is open to boys and girls, aged between 3 and 15, and is judged in four separate age categories.
The M.C., Sue will introduce each competitor before the judges talk to them about their favourite part of the Berwick Show.
Two important statewide competitions are judged during the Berwick Show for young people interested in rural and community issues. The junior show ambassador is open to males and females, aged 16-19 years on Saturday 28 March. The aim of the competition is to give young people a chance to demonstrate their interest in their local show, and also progress to another level of competition that enables them to meet like-minded individuals from around the state. It may also give them career ideas and networking opportunities.
The VAS-RAS Rural Ambassador Award is a competition aimed at encouraging rural youth, highlighting their talent and creativity and assisting them with leadership skills and communication to further their career development.
It is open to entrants over 20 years and under 30 years as at 1 May 2009.
Inquiries for both competitions can be directed to the Show Secretary 9707 0399, berwickshow@bigpond.com.au or Karen Chipperfield 0409 182 448.
