ON Friday 20 February, the Bunyip Primary School Junior Red Cross had a Bushfire Appeal Day to raise money for people who lost their homes during the Black Saturday bushfires.
Two firefighters from the Bunyip Fire Brigade visited the school with a fire truck and explained to the students the importance of fire safety. The theme of the day was red and yellow. The day raised $600, which exceeded the target of $500. The school’s Junior Red Cross Bushfire Appeal sub-committee said it was grateful to all those who supported the day and gave a donation.
