ANIMALS On The Move is a travelling exhibition with an emphasis on agriculture.
At this year’s Pakenham Show, the milking cow Skye will be there to show children precisely where milk comes from, and they will discover it is not just from the supermarket.
Children will have the opportunity to see Skye being milked.
In groups, children will then have the chance to assist with separating the cream from the milk and also the chance to experiment with making butter using different methods.
The activity will teach children that milk originates from animals such as cows, goats and sheep and that foods go through a process of change before hitting the shelves.
This is a fun and educational activity for all children who visit the Pakenham Show.
