PAKENHAM Consolidated School students hit the ground running for a whole school cross-country event.
Pupils from grades prep to six recently represented their respective houses in the annual run.
Bourke House came out on top followed by Thomas, Henty and Hicks houses.
Students who ran the fastest in Friday’s event will go on to compete in the school’s district cross-country team.
Pakenham Consolidated S chool is home to some talented runners – Jessica Cox and Carlee Bailey, both in Grade 6, last year competed in the State Finals.
Jessica has represented the school at national level for the past two years.
Students will start training for the district event this week.
