PAKENHAM Angling Club conducted an outing to Lake Eildon recently with nine adults and five children and trout was the favoured catch.
Five fish were caught with the heaviest, a rainbow trout, being taken by Carol Clark at 1.560kg, from Bill Caffra who weighed one in at 1.542kg.
The secret weight was won by Andrew Mostert with a 1.113kg rainbow and the junior heaviest was Nadine Mostert’s 2.177kg brown trout.
Bill Caffra caught a rainbow trout on the Saturday evening that weighed in at 3.226kg.
The club’s next meeting is on 21 September at the Pakenham Seniors Citizens’ Club at 7.30pm with new members welcome.
