BOXING, yoga, pilates and boot camp are some of the group classes held at Vibe Health and Fitness in Emerald.
The locally-owned business, which has an aim to build a healthy, happy and vibrant community, has more than 30 group fitness classes every week.
All memberships to the complex include a health check, one-on-one orientation and a follow-up technique check with program updates every four to eight weeks.
Vibe aims to provide personalised service, with staff using a software package that records attendance and generates reports.
The organisation’s market is anyone who wants a healthy lifestyle, whether it be stress relief, injury prevention, sports-specific training, rehabilitation, weight loss, or even weight gain.
Vibe also has customised classes on offer for local schools, and Scouting and Guide groups. Nutrition personal training is also available to members to assist them with their eating habits.
The building has been designed with double-glazed windows, timber sun shades and natural cross-flow ventilation by architect Nicholas Hugan.
Disabled access has also been implemented, with the inclusion of ramps, a disabled bathroom and specific parking.
A new blend of art and freedom of dance can be explored at Vibe. Nia, which incorporates strong martial arts moves, is proving to be a success at the centre, according to staff.
