DISTRICTbased V8 Supercar drivers Matthew White and Jason Bargwanna were in the thick of the weekend’s action at the Sandown 500.
The outing is the traditional precursor to the Bathurst 1000 on 9 October and White from Pakenham and Beaconsfield’s Bargwanna had average results in Sunday’s 161lap race, both completing the journey, but finishing in 23rd and 16th positions respectively.
White, a relative newcomer to the V8 circuit, was partnered by Steven Owen in a Ford Falcon BA sponsored by Fujitsu, while Bargwanna drove his Orrcon Falcon with regular partner Mark Winterbottom.
