Price up on Baw Baw vealers

GOOD vealers were dearer at Baw Baw Livestock Exchange, Warragul, with a lot of vealers making over $1.90 a kilograms and the top pen making $2.36 cents a kilograms. They were some of the best cattle to be seen in any market.
Steers sold to dearer trend to top at $1.80 for a good pen of steers from Coalville. A northern Victorian vendor sent a very good line of cows and calves to sell to $1050.
Thursday’s cow and bull sale was smaller than the previous week with 630 cows and 28 bulls sold. Top cows were dearer to top at 143 cents per kilogram with bulls selling to 157 cents a kilogram.
The draw for Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May is as follows: 1, Landmark; 2, Gibbon; 3, Elders; 4, Scotts; 5, SEJ.
