NAR Nar Goon Primary School’s biggest ever upgrade is almost complete.
Students will be soon be able to use the new multipurpose room and canteen facilities, with phase two of the building upgrade set to be finished in August.
They will also be able to flex their sporting muscles on a new football ground and basketball courts, which were moved as part of the upgrade.
Phase one of the building program, completed before term 2, saw the construction of a classroom, library and art block.
School principal Jay Stent said students were eagerly awaiting the completion of the $4.4 million upgrade.
“It’s been a three-year process with builders on site for a bit over 12 months,” he said.
“There has been heaps of disruption, most time we’ve had half of he school out of bounds.”
The upgrade is part of the State Government’s Building Futures program.
