Cora Lynn wins thriller

CORA Lynn met NilmaDarnum at the weekend and broke even with three wins, including a onepoint thriller in A grade.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

Cora Lynn started strongly but was let down by inaccurate passing in the second and third quarters. Needing to make their centre passes count, the Cobras’ spirits lifted and they made up the deficit and won by one goal, showing their finals ability in a tight final quarter.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

Cora Lynn finished the first quarter one goal down but in the second and third quarters the Cobras’ goalers took over due to fine centre passes. Many changes were made and the whole team contributed to a satisfying 18goal win. Great combination between defenders gave great confidence that further assisted team goals. Cgrade player Danielle Todaro played a superb game at goal shooter.

After coming off from a win last week Cora Lynn started strongly in the first quarter. After positional changes by both teams, the second quarter was more evenly contested.
After lapses in concentration by the Cobras in the second half NilmaDarnum was able to pull away with a win.

Cora Lynn started well against NilmaDarnum. With excellent defence making the most of missed goals, Cora Lynn was able to stay in a tight game. However NilmaDarnum ran away with the win.

With a great effort Cora Lynn finally put it together in the last quarter. The defenders played a superb game.

Terrific intercepts by Tahlia Carris, Kasey Gardner and Jacquie Kemp contributed to Cora Lynn’s 13goal lead at the end of the first quarter. The team continued to play brilliantly throughout, playing some promising passages. After positional changes were made in the third quarter everyone adapted well. Emily Brooks played at goal shooter for the first time this season and shot superbly. Emily McMillan was superb at centre.
