Emphasis on dance technique

THE Rebecca’s School of Dance (RSD) will feature at the 2007 Berwick Show.
The school specialises in correct dance tuition in tap, jazz, funk/hip hop, classical ballet and contemporary dance styles.
Principal Rebecca Moran has 25 years’ experience in dance, has completed examinations in tap and theatrical under the CSTD syllabus and VCE dance in tap, modern contemporary and classical ballet.
Rebecca is CSTD and Ausdance affiliated. Teachers at RSD are qualified and syllabus trained.
Correct technique is important to Rebecca and her teachers.
Students are taught the importance of stretching before starting to dance to prevent soft tissue injuries.
RSD has two equipped studios with heating and airconditioning at Factory 9, Commerce Drive, Hampton Park.
Main classes incorporate warm ups, tap, jazz and funk/hip hop styles. These classes are for fun and fitness, and students learn a high level of technique.
The school has classes that cater for students aged from two years and both boys and girls are welcome.
Students are able to sit CSTD exams in tap and modern jazz syllabi, which leads to them gaining their teachers certificate and diploma.
These qualifications are recognised throughout Australia and also in Commonwealth countries.
RSD also offers classes in classical ballet, contemporary, adult rhythm tap, specialist tap, extension squad and adult fitness and stretch.
RSD holds two concerts at the end of the year for the students to showcase the dances they have worked on during the year.
Students perform at many public events including the Berwick and Dandenong shows and Casey Carols By Candlelight.
To enrol or to find out more information please call Rebecca on 0409 431 438. Class sizes are limited and the first class is free for all new students.
