Goon stays unbeaten

NAR Nar Goon travelled to Buln Buln for mixed results but in A grade remained undefeated so far for the season.

The Goon had a great win and the defence was terrific, taking great intercepts. Mel Van Dieman and Meg Evans goaled well.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

A depleted team played a close game against Buln Buln and were coming home very strong in the last few minutes of the game. Prue Evans and Mirae Payroli, coming up from the under 17s, played a good game. Jessica Fry had some brilliant passes into the goal ring. The Goon’s third quarter was terrific and at threequarter time was down by a goal. Raynie Armstrong played a great game in defence.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

Nar Nar Goon showed plenty of endeavour and enthusiasm and passages showed how far the team’s play has improved since the start of the season. Cassa Fry continued to lead by example. It was great to have Tracey O’Neill back for her great defensive work.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:17 AND UNDER

Buln Buln unsettled The Goon early and took the lead, however the Goon held strong with Mirae Payroli and Chantelle Joosten in defence working hard taking intercepts and rebounding the ball. Leesa Bartlett played a great game at wing defence. Shae Harrop did great work throughout the midcourt and excellent vision with her passing into the goalers.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:15 AND UNDER

Nar Nar Goon came up against its toughest opposition, Buln Buln. It was a well contested match with great defensive pressure from both sides restricting scoring opportunities. The Goon’s allcourt defence was a strength providing many great turnovers.
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 20 drew with Buln Buln 20.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:13 AND UNDER

In a tough game against a strong Buln Buln side the Goon fought hard but too many unforced errors cost the game. Kate Hughes played a strong game in goals. Scores: Buln Buln 23 d Nar Nar Goon 13.
