PETS can be microchipped at the Casey Civic Centre car park, Magid Drive, Narre Warren, from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, 31 March.
Newly registered animals in the City of Casey must be microchipped as from Tuesday 1 May.
This is considered to be the most effective way to reunite people with lost pets.
Cost is $20 each animal. Pet registration is also available on the day.
Participants can also enjoy the day out with a sausage sizzle, dog wash facilities and pet supply stalls.
No bookings are required, but please remember that dogs must be on leads and cats in cages.
