Relay grows

TEAM registrations for the Casey Cardinia Relay For Life on 2 and 3 March next year are ahead of expectations.
CCRL comanager Natalie Livsey said support for the 2007 event was much greater than last year. She expected team numbers to increase even more.
She encouraged people interested in joining the register to sign up soon to allow greater fundraising time before the event.
“The 2007 Relay for Life campaign has the potential to exceed past years’ performances in all aspects, including both team numbers and fundraising totals,” she said.
“It is only $15 a person to register and begin a fantastic Relay For Life experience.
“Registered teams will also be eligible to attend a fundraising workshop in October to receive practical assistance with fundraising ideas.”
The Casey Cardinia Relay event is in its fourth year and is continuing to grow. The event raises money for crucial cancer research, education and support programs.
It has a festival atmosphere and involves team members walking or running relaystyle around Akoonah Park, Berwick, over 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday 2 and 3 March 2007.
