‘Tis the busy choir season

CHRISTMAS is a busy and exciting time for choristers of the Berwick Youth Choir.
The choir is booked to perform Christmas carols at many venues throughout the City of Casey.
Younger choir members will perform for the Berwick Woodworker’s Toy Gala and the Carolling Choir will perform at many venues, including the St James’ Christmas Pageant, Eden Rise Shopping Centre, Belgrave Christmas Carols and Nyora Carols by Candlelight.
People can also see the whole choir in action on Wednesday 13 December when it performs Christmas Carols at Narre Warren Library during the evening.
Choir members are looking forward to the launch of the their latest CD, at the 20th anniversary gala concert, recorded earlier this year at the Rosanove Auditorium St Margaret’s School, Berwick.
The choir celebrated 20 years of excellence in music education with a concert featuring performances by current and former choristers, and were joined by special guest, soprano ShuCheen Yu.
Guest of honour on the night was the choir’s founder, Jean Heriot.
The official CD launch on Thursday 14 December will be held at Sage On Parkhill Restaurant, Berwick.
The BYC committee of management has extended an invitation to music lovers to join them for Christmas With Berwick Youth Choir at Sage On Parkhill, with a threecourse meal and complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. The BYC Carolling Choir will perform.
