LANG Lang allrounder Sam Jenkins excelled in under 17 ranks against KilcundaBass, capturing 4/18 from eight overs and top scoring with 32.
Joe Murphy from Nar Nar Goon and Pakenham’s Chris Chilcott shared the bowling honours with their respective figures of 4/6 from four overs and 4/13 off eight overs.
Jake Abel and Chris Cardona (PUT) and Cardinia’s G. Easton all scored under 17 halfcenturies on Saturday.
Jason Pongracic from Merinda Park Reds scored a rapid 45 from 39 balls with five boundaries in the under 15 fixture against Merinda Park Whites.
The top scorer in this grade was Christopher Morrell from Devon Meadows, who reached 47.
A number of under 15 bowlers captured three wickets on Saturday morning.
They included Luke Beaumont (Officer) Raff Vissor and Tom Daly (Pakenham), Tom Keily, Russell Lehman and Ben Ahern (Catani) and Matt Thompson (Tooradin).
The following under 13 players recorded scores of 20 or better.
Jacob Sweeney, Jordan Payroli and Lachlan Gridley (Nar Nar Goon Whites), Jarryd Davies, Dillon Allen and Justin Temby (Pakenham Blue), T. Murphy and Nathan Copey (Emerald Redbacks).
The best bowling performance was achieved by N. Bounds from Emerald Bushrangers, who snared 3/3 from three overs.
