Young Bulls through to grand final

THE under13 Baw Baw hockey team has a meeting with destiny on Friday.
This is the fourth year running the young Bulls team has contested the finals.
It remains undefeated for the year and is on course for a grand final.

UNDER 13 PENNANT SOUTH

The young Bulls travelled to Brighton for their semifinal against Dandenong, a team they said was the best they had seen this season. There was great work from Keisha Leggett, Sara Howard, Matt Zurrer, Michael Kramer, Jesse Ward and Liz Christian to take the ball upfield numerous times.
In the first half, Matt goaled off a short corner pass from Jesse. This was followed by Sam’s attempt at goal, which rebounded and Jesse was there to back up and score. Half time score 20.
Johnno Anderson, Stuart Rayner and Sam Lodge all played well with great skills in keeping the ball from the opposition. Lauren Grigoliet, Kate Christian and Shannon Ward showed strength in forcing the ball forward. Ryan Ward defended the goals admirably throughout the game.
In the second half, Matt scored another goal. In another play, Jesse passed the ball to Michael that allowed him the chance to score a goal.
The team now advances to the grand final, where it plays Eastern in what is predicted to be a tough match.
