Berwick beats the Meadows

BERWICK travelled to Devon Meadows last weekend and came away with wins in every grade.

A GRADE

Berwick put on a terrific display against Devon Meadows. Rebecca Vickers and Jodie Cranston teamed up well in defence, causing many turnovers. Sharon Neary was superb at wing defence while the goalers shot all day to set up a convincing win.
Scores: Berwick 64 d Devon Meadows 26.

B GRADE

With a slightly different lineup last week Berwick took time to settle in. Berwick played much smarter netball in the second half and dominated the midcourt. The defensive end applied strong pressure all day with Jess Monahan and Belinda Hester in unfamiliar territory in the goalkeeper position.
Scores: Berwick 44 d Devon Meadows 25.

C GRADE

A strong goaling performance from Nicole Liddle, Tina Pratt and Glenda Clarke enabled Berwick to score a good win against Devon Meadows. The team is improving each week and establishing strong teamwork and commitment to win the ball.
Scores: Berwick 65 d Devon Meadows 14.

17 AND UNDER

Berwick was made to fight hard for its win against Devon Meadows. In a close contest Berwick was strong in defence, with Bree D’Agostino playing an outstanding game at goal defence. Corrine Mackley played well in every position she tried while Chloe Moss created many attacking drives in centre and Donna Clarke moved the goal ring well in a good team performance.
Scores: Berwick 32 d Devon Meadows 22.

13 AND UNDER

In another successful day Berwick had a strong win against Devon Meadows. Berwick played a great team game with every player contributing to the win.
