WORLD class axemen will be seen at the arduous and spectacular wood chop contests at Berwick Show this year.
The Victorian Central Axemen’s Association will coordinate the event.
Eight events, including a boy’s chop, will be held, with chips flying from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday.
The most spectacular contest for the day is expected to be the threeman relay standing block and tree 250 and 275mm.
This involves the need for enormous physical strength from competitors.
Main sponsor for the wood chop is CelltoCell Communications, Berwick.
